Welcome to Home-Start Teesside. We are one of a network of 340 local Home-Starts in the UK.

The core belief of Home-Start is that children need a happy and secure childhood and that parents play the key role in giving their children a good start in life and helping them achieve their full potential.

Home-Start Teesside is a charity that offers support, friendship and practical help to parents with at least one child under 5 in Middlesbrough, Stockton and Redcar & Cleveland.

A unique service is offered. We recruit and train volunteers, who are usually parents themselves, to visit families at home to offer friendly, informal and confidential support. The support  offered cuts across all boundaries of gender, social class, ethnic origin and financial status.
