Families

women and girls on sofa.

If you are a parent with at least one child under the age of five and live in Stockton, Middlesbrough or Redcar & Cleveland, then Home-Start Teesside may be able to help you.

Support is provided by trained volunteers who visit in your own home for 2-3 hours a week to offer support, friendship and practical assistance.

The best way to find out what support from Home-Start Teesside really means is to read the comments from families quoted throughout this site and below.

Please note: Home-Start volunteers are not home helps they do not provide a babysitting service and cannot take children to school on a regular basis, although practical help may often be part of a visit.

If you would like support:

a)You can contact Home-Start Teesside directly and a Family Support Coordinator will visit you at home to discuss your needs and decide whether Home-Start Teesside is appropriate for you.

b)You can contact your Health Visitor, Social Worker or any other agency you are involved with and ask them to make the referral for you.
